Q: I have a specific layout in mind. Can I design my own quilt?
A: Yes, you may design the layout of your quilt. Please indicate clearly how you would like your t-shirt squares arranged. We suggest you create a grid to indicate the placement of each t-shirt.
Q: I only want one side of my t-shirt included in my quilt, how do I indicate which side I want to use?
A: We recommend that you mark an "x" on the sleeve of the side of the shirt you would like to be included in the quilt. If you want to include both sides of one shirt, mark an "x" on both sides of the sleeve. A permanent marker works well here. You may also pin a note to the t-shirt. Please do not use post-it notes.
Q: Can I choose the fabric for the back of my blanket?
A: Absolutely! Please contact us to find out how much fabric you will need. We suggest fleece, cotton, denim, t-shirt, or sweatshirt material. Please do not choose a fabric such as lace, satin, corduroy, vinyl, etc.
Q: Can I use other clothing besides t-shirts?
A: Blankets can also incorporate sweatshirts, or sports jerseys/uniforms. Baby “onesies”, washcloths, and receiving blankets can also be incorporated. Towels, jackets, sweatpants and boxer shorts have been used also depending on the size/layout. If they are large enough, these items can be made into their own square. If they are too small to make into a square they can be appliqued onto another square. Applique of any additional pieces is $5 per piece.
Q: Do you put batting in the blankets?
A: No, the blankets do not have any batting.
Q: Are your blankets quilted?
A: No. Since our blankets do not have any batting in the middle, there is no need to quilt them. This is why they are called blankets, they ARE NOT quilts.
Q: Are there returns?
A: This is a custom made item, so returns are not accepted. We will work with you to make sure your quilt is exactly what you want. Your satisfaction is our main concern. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied, please contact us within 30 days and we will do our best to fix it to your satisfaction.
